Noriko Ueda is originally from Hyogo, Japan. She started to study classical piano at the age of 4, began her career with the upright bass at age 18. Graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston where she majored in Jazz Composition, she relocated to NYC.
Her career highlights include:
• Sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall with “ARTEMIS” lead by Renee Rosnes (2019). Their second album has released from Blue Note Records (2023).
• Performed and arranged for “The DIVA Jazz Orchestra” over 15 years. Projects included a collaboration with Johnny Mandel (2010), the soundtrack for the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks which included her arrangement (broadcast on NBC in 2014).
• Winner of the Charlie Parker Jazz composition Prize founded by Broadcast Music Inc (2002).
• Faculty of SUNY Purchase College.
